The Warembo Girls Project offers young (teenage) mothers who live
on the streets with their child the possibility of making a future for
themselves and their child. There is a small Swahili house that is
rented where the mums and their children can live and receive guidance.
Here they’re able to follow a course in adult education for example in
hairdressing or clothes making, and where after a maximum period of 4
years enables them to be self- supporting and totally independent.
At the moment there are 2 mothers and their children being cared for in this project. Because of the volume of work at the other projects, (DCC and OBC), the Warembo Girls Project won’t be expanded any further.
